Mr. Mike Coddington

Mike, Laurie, Emmett, and Annabeth Coddington
Welcome to Physical Education with Mr. Coddington!  I grew up on a farm outside a very small town in WI.  I attended Wheaton College in Illinois and graduated in 2002 with a Physical Education Teaching degree and license.  I completed my Master's Degree in 2007 from Northern Illinois University and moved to Minnesota shortly afterward.  I have been teaching Physical Education for 13 years (4 years in grades 6-8, 1 year in High School, and 8 years in grades K-4).

I am very excited about this year and look forward to the fun we will have together learning about fitness, exercise, and total body wellness.  Those things are passions in my life (along with my family and the outdoors) and I look forward to sharing that passion with all of you!

I also enjoy coaching a variety of sports and view it as a natural extension of my teaching responsiblities.  I have coached football, wrestling, and track at both the Middle School, and High School level.  I will be coaching pole vault as an Assistant Track and Field coach for the High School in the spring.  I am also excited to continue in the role of referee in the sport of wrestling (K-12).
